In order to fully appreciate the amazing Flora & Fauna around today, it is important to look back at where it all began. The time when plants first made their way out of water and on the land roughly 400 million years ago.
The fossil record allows us to look back and see the evolutionary steps taken that lead us to where we are today. Although not 100% complete, it gives us a fairly accurate step by step look how our Gondwana flora evolved.
We are lucky enough to live on land that has been managed by the indigenous people of Australia for tens of thousands of years. This in turn has influenced the unique flora and fauna of Sydney’s landscape which is the main source of our inspiration.
To us, knowing this added another layer of understanding of Australia’s flora and gave us a fresh perspective on how our plants originated. That has led us to have a serious dedication on ‘‘400 million years in the making’’ through our nature-inspired work.
A visual study of nature, 400 million years in the making
Making it meaningful
At Changilloides, we are dedicated to bring your focus back to the natural world. We strive to create illustration & design work that has not only attention to detail but is also unique and meaningful. With the intention of piquing people’s interest as well as gaining their appreciation of nature.
We hope to start an honest conversation with anyone who likes what we do through different mediums that highlight the features of each subject no matter how small or insignificant, starting with our illustration project - Wondrously Earthy Delights, which is a one of a kind collection of nature-inspired illustration.
None of our work is created by AI, rather, by our illustrator’s countless hours of dedication and hand drawn with his respect for Mother Nature. We use environmental friendly museum grade heavyweight ‘Hahnemuehle’ Fine Art paper. Each print is professionally produced by using the world best printing technique - Giclée Printing.
Each print is hand stamped & numbered together with a THANK YOU notecard which includes Illustration Name & Year / Paper Size & Weight / Number.
